We're proud to offer a Rainbow Screening Clinic on Saturday 25 July 2026 at our St Leonards clinic, providing a safe, welcoming and supportive screening experience for LGBTIQ+ people with breast/chest tissue.
The clinic is designed to support people who may feel more comfortable attending a dedicated screening day, with staff trained in gender-affirming practice and a commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and supported. We'll ask for your chosen name and pronouns, respect your privacy, and welcome you to bring a support person to your appointment.
While the Rainbow Screening Clinic is a dedicated event, BreastScreen NSW is committed to providing inclusive and affirming care at all screening clinics and mobile vans across NSW. Our staff receive training in gender-affirming practice, and we work to ensure all eligible people feel welcome and comfortable accessing breast/chest screening services.

We know that barriers to healthcare can make screening more difficult for some people. That's why we're dedicated to creating safe, inclusive and welcoming screening experiences to help more people access this important health check.
A Breast/chest screening is one of the best ways to find breast cancer early, often before it can be seen or felt. Finding cancer early can improve treatment options and outcomes.
The Rainbow Screening Clinic is open to eligible LGBTIQ+ people aged 40 years and over. Screening is free and no GP referral is needed.
You can learn more about breast screening eligibility, find a screening location near you, and read more information about breast/chest screening for LGBTIQ+ communities.
We encourage eligible community members to take this opportunity to support their health and book a breast/chest screen.
